Emily Ansell Elfer is an NCTJ-qualified journalist whose professional interest in female health began when working as Digital Account Manager for International Women’s Day and Where Women Work. Emily also gained experience in the health field during her time as Editor of Autism Parenting Magazine, which was awarded in ​​Healthline’s Best Autism Blogs of 2021 under her editorship. Other notable media experience includes a period as an Editor of B2B food publications and Deputy Editor of Toy World Magazine. Emily has PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) and Hypothyroidism, and has been through multiple IVF cycles as well as miscarriage. In 2023, Emily had a total hysterectomy after being diagnosed with uterine cancer. She lives in the UK with her husband, rescue cat and Cocker Spaniel. Emily was inspired to launch Female Health & Fertility to support others with reproductive challenges.
